The Blue of the Aegean, the white of the houses, the black of lava has long been on the bucket list of many travelers. If you've had the privilege to visit Santorini, you probably know what it looks like.
Amazing hotels hanging from the rock edges gazing the endless blue sea will give you an experience of a lifetime. Taverns, restaurants but also Greek street food for all tastes and every budget. Wine-tasting is also a must-do in this island.
The luxurious streets of this island are endless. Magnificent churches, high-end brands, jewelry and vintage shops are all over the island leaving a taste of Mediterranean air. The island’s interior is majestic with traditional villages and spectacular paths, that let you see beyond the tourist hustle.
Swimming in Perissa and Kamari beaches, boat ride to the volcano, the wineries with the Vinsanto wine that tastes like nectar, “fava” (split peas), the sweet cherry tomatoes, a ride with the donkey, the cable car..
We were thrilled with the “Atlantis” bookstore in Oia, had an amazing dinner with a breathtaking view at “La Maison” restaurant in Imerovigli and had an incredible stay at the Luxurious hotel “Vedema” in Megalochori.
This spectacular island was considered to be the summer resort of the Olympian Gods. Maybe this explains this rare beauty of Santorini, or maybe not. Either way, Santorini is definitely an idyllic holiday destination.
